Paris Fashion Week.

I was blessed to work with Badgley Mischka during fashion week. The company representatives and models really changed my outlook on future, fashion internships.

I assisted models with clothing changes and worked directly with Vice Presidents/Directors of Badgley Mischka. My initial expectations were an organized, hostile and fast-paced work environment. The fashion industry can be a nasty place especially when you're just getting your foot in the door. I was prepared to mind my business and hustle.

My experience was everything but hostile. There was so much laughter and fashion education. I felt so in my element while working and everyone made sure I felt a part of the team. Another universal confirmation that this is what I'm supposed to be doing. I'm so excited to have started a relationship with this Badgley Mischka. Hopefully, this is not my last experience with them.

I was feeling glum because I kept seeing all my friends traveling Europe and having so much fun. I felt like I hadn't done anything since I chose to intern instead of just studies. Now, I don't regret my decision. When I'm a successful fashion editor, I'll return and travel Europe without having to give time to school. I'll be invited to all the shows I want and I'll be the connection.
